The ERBUD Foundation's Wspólna Droga programme, which we support, is an activity aimed at helping young people leaving orphanages to enter the labour market and achieve independence in life. The programme starts in Warsaw and offers intensive training in entrepreneurship and life skills.
Through the training sessions, participants will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about entrepreneurship and skills needed on the labour market. The programme aims not only to facilitate entry into then labour market, but also to support young people in their education and development of life skills. Over the course of eight months, the Foundation, together with volunteers from ERBUD and OEX, will run workshops on topics including financial literacy, career planning, applying for jobs and preparing for interviews, as well as continuing education opportunities and internship programmes.
According to the data at the end of 2023, the largest group of institutional care leavers were children aged 14-17, representing 47.2% of all wards. These are young people who are slowly entering independent life and need support at this crucial moment.
For years, the ERBUD Foundation has been running a number of programmes to help young people from foster care enter adulthood and increase their chances of getting a better education or a job, and thus getting the job of their dreams.
