After eight months of intensive work, OEX Group together with the ERBUD Foundation completed the first edition of the „Wspólna Droga” program. The program aimed to support young people leaving foster care in preparation for entering the job market and achieve life independence.
Since September, the Foundation, together with volunteers from ERBUD and OEX Group, held workshops on financial education, career planning, applying for job and preparing for interviews, as well as opportunities for further education and internship programs. The youth also had a chance to develop their skills in dealing with procrastination, task planning and personal branding.
The success of the first edition of the „Wspólna Droga” program confirms the need for such social initiatives. The OEX Group, together with the ERBUD Foundation, is already preparing for the next edition of the program to support even more young people on their way to independence.
During a meeting to conclude the edition, we gathered feedback from participants and discussed ways to further support youth.
The ERBUD Foundation has been implementing programs supporting young people from care facilities in transitioning to adulthood for years. Thanks to its efforts, over three hundred foster care graduates have already gained the chance for a better education, a profession and independence.
